*GRRRR* Retake

So I did a retake of the last OOTD. I didn't like the way it turned out and I really wanted to do the neon pants justice. They are really awesome! We still have snow and wind and rain and snow again! Argh! I am so jealous when I read other blog posts from fellow plus size bloggers and they are wearing summer clothes and I am still stuck with layers. But I refuse to not try my best!

It's no secret that I am a apple size, which means that I carry most of my weight in the middle, the belly area. I also have no booty (butt) and skinny legs. So I find it hard to find jeans that fit me right. If they fit my legs I get a muffin top or if they fit my middle they become baggy around my thighs but that wear ASOS jeans come in! They usually have a lot of stretch too them, I just wish they had a bigger selection of jean styles other than skinny ones.

What I Wore :
Jeans - ASOS Curve
Black tunic - H&M normal range
Leather Jacket - Evans Beth ditto collection nr. 1
Mustache necklace - ASOS
Black ballerinas - New Look - I got them from ebay
White Watch - Mango
Rings - H&M, Accessories and thrifted

Where I Wore it :
Girls Night Out!

OOTD - ASOS coral

What I wore :
ASOS Curve top with dip back - sold out
Denim Shorts - from South - Last summer item
Arabic Scarf from the 90's! So we call it vintage
Socks - home made by my mother in law
Sneakers - from Graceland - last summer item
Mule Bag - from smilende suzie - from the 90's

The top is unfortunately sold out but they have them in a similar version but with longer sleeves and in the colors blue and grey. I have this top in black, coral and a light blue version and they are SO comfortable to wear and can be worn down or dressed up.

I bought a pair of cute owl knee socks that I am going to pair with my light blue top. But this could  be worn with the gray top too. And the socks are on sale right now - score! I used to hate it when people wore socks with sandals or strappy shoes but I am starting too like the look more and more.

Link to the ASOS Owl socks.

Until the next time - stay happy!
- Karina

**UPDATE**
forgot to mention that the black tights are from Evans. They are pretty share but I like that, they have enough color to hide the little bruises I have left from the car accident. They were cheap too, 3 for something. Don't remember, I bought the for my office Christmas party in December - I just checked they are still available.

OOTD - Blue Pants... again!

What I wore :
Leopard cardigan - Simply be - old
Blue pants - ASOS Curve - sold out
Black tank top - H&M - old
Black flat shoes - Atmosphere

So I decided to stay in today - the snow has finally gone away but now we have non stop rain. I actually think I like the snow better. But that's what I get for complaining. But that it's okay, I got to spend the day with my boyfriend and pets (I have a a cat and a dog, If I haven't mention it before).

I decided to try my cobalt blue pants from ASOS again. I think I kinda lot my joy from them after seeing the photos I took for a OOTD post back in October - Link to the October OOTD post - I feel like I am trying to hard to hide myself in the photos - therefor the remake or second OOTD with the blue pants. I know - more blue! :)

Excuse the bad lighting - we have about 4 to 6 hours of daylight this time of year and I never seem to be able to take photos at the right time. SO I give you super blitz/flash, red skin and shiny blue pants! But still I like the casual feel to this outfit - the pants aren't hidden away with layers of tank tops and I am shoving more of a figure rather than a pile of clothes.

Which outfit do you like better - this one or the one from October?

Happy New Year!

What I Wore :

Blue dress from ASOS - on sale right now!
Black tights from Yours Clothing
Black Cardigan from South - old
Gold metallic belt from ASOS - on sale!
Gold bead necklace - eBay
Gold bird necklace - eBay
Purse - Christmas gift from my dad

Let's hope it's a great 2012. I have a lot of plans - try to get my nerves together and apply to a school - not that hard. But the fact that it's in another country is hard. I don't want to move but when you live in a country where the population is about 48.000 people you don't have too many educations to choose from.  I want to be better at posting photos on here - I will be better at providing better photos with better lighting. I want to try to wear less black and blue. I am going to clean out my closet! Before the end of February -  now I have a date so I have to stick to it! ;)

What are your plans for the new year?

OOTD - Rain Blue Pants

What I Wore
Blue Pants from ASOS Curve, bought this summer.
Black Cardigan from Vera Moda, from their last winter collection.
White tank top from Vera Moda, from their basic collection.
Black Scarf from Vera Moda, bought last winter.

Hiya there! I just wanted too show you what I wore in this rainy dull day. I went to the shopping center with two of my friends and we ate some lunch did a little shopping and goofed around. I bought these pants from ASOS this summer. the first pair of pants I've gotten from them. I must say I should prob. have sized down. These are a size UK24 that I normally wear but feel they could have been a bit snugger. My sister will be arriving from Denmark on Monday and I am so exited :) So I have a lot of cleaning and getting stuff ready.

Have a great weekend everyone!

My newest buy - Hawaii jacket

So this baby is my newest buy. I bought it of eBay for 7$ but the shipping was even higher 15$! So in total 22$ - in my currency it came too about 132 DDK witch is quite cheap. I just hate it when I pay crazy more for shipping price rather than the item its self.
I will probably pair it with a pair of blue jeans leggings or boot-cut jeans. I want to try a black loose tank top underneath or a boyfriend like t shirt with a v neck and 3/4 sleeves. The jacket also has 3/4 sleeves so it would probably work it a wore full sleeves underneath. Give the outfit a little more edge to it. Since the jacket and the outfit has so much cool tones to it I would pair it with some gold accessories and keep the makeup pinkish and peachy. The blush from Sleek - Golden Rose would work great with this look. Since it's getting really cold outside (we already have snow!) I would pair it with a boots. I've edited a photo for you with the outfit I have in my mind. I can't wait for this jacket to arrive! But being used to international shipping and living on small islands I know it will take up too 4 weeks.

Sorry for not posting any OOTD this week. I've been feeling under the weather - almost sick but not really. I have one more week of work than 14 days of summer vacation! Yes, I know summer vacation in the winter time but my sister is coming from Denmark with her husband and their kids + my best friend Rani is also coming to visit from Denmark + my boyfriend has the time off +  me and my boyfriend have been together for 10 year on the 20th! + it's my birthday on the 21th - I am turning 28 years this time! I have a lot of tings coming up and a lot of excuses to wear cute clothes and not just my work uniform.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

My dream outfit - September 2011

Red Gaga dress - Yours Clothing - 22 £
Black/White Tights - Yours Clothing - 8 £
Black Gloves - Yours Clothing - 8 £
Black Waist Belt - Yours Clothing - 10 £
Multi Punk Bangles - eBay - 4,84 £
Black Ankle Boots - eBay - 22,98 £

So I was on a group forum for plus size girls trying to buy fashionable clothes. And a girl was talking about the GAGA dress from yours clothing. I asked her for a link since I didn't know what dress they were chatting about and she showed me this beautiful red dress and I straight way thought about one of the dresses shown in season 7 of project runway. I feel in love with the look as soon as the model stared to walk down the runway.
I have before bought red dresses. 3 times before to be exacted. The first one I sold on eBay, the second one I gave away to a friend and the 3rd one is still hanging in my closet unused. It's from Evans - I ordered it from online, tried it on and didn't really love the way it fit. I think I am going to order the dress, tights and belt and wear the outfit! What do you think?

I want these Zebracorn flats!

Gimme, gimme, gimme....! I so regret not buying these when they were for sale online. I had my eyes on them but since I was a student and a home owner I didn't feel like I had the money. And now that I am a educated woman they are sold out! Fail! Aaahh... I am so sad. So anyone feel like selling me their pair? ;-) I know that I can get them in pumps from eBay but I am no good at walking in fashion high heels but I would buy these if I got desperate enough. Well one needs to learn walking in heels at sometime, right?

I found my inspiration again

So I have been gone for a while. And getting back into blogging has been something I haven't been looking forward too. And let me explain why! I love this blogging showing you pictures, telling you a little story from the day and most of all the response. But I have a skinny family that sees my plus size - my fat! as a negative thing. After the last blog post I had a big fight with my mother. She keeps buying me clothes that are 2 sizes too big because she think my clothes fit too tight and I shouldn't show my fat. It's shameful and should be hidden. And than I get mad and defend myself. So typically she wants to make thing right, and she does so by suggesting that we get me started loosing weight by entering a gym together. Or the newer trend - a operation to shrink my stomach. And that's what made me hit rock bottom. I just started too cry my eyes out and stood up and left the room. My poor boyfriend had to get in between me and my mother. I forgive her. I just keep thinking, she doesn't know any better. She's ignorant. But I know she's not. When she was 20'ish she too was big and she didn't loose the weight because she said to herself "now I am going too lose it," she lost the weight from stress. She was a single mom with 3 kids and a full time job.

I am really proud of my mother but still major pissed off sometimes. I hate that she sees my bigness as a problem and needs to change me physically. I know I am big, I know I need too loose weight. I also know I have a lot of emotional problems I need to work throw and I know I am a comfort eater. I feed my emotions food. I thank God that I have a great boyfriend that loves me no matter what. I was a size EU size 40 when we meet and after a lot of family problems, hanging around bad people, depression and doing a job with a evil boss for too long I am now a EU size 50.

But I am getting better, I have a job a love. I work with great people. I have great friends. I have hobbies that make me go out and enjoy life. I no longer stay in all day feeling sorry for myself. I am ready to move on and you know what I've gotten to know so far? I like and love me now. And I don't mind the weight. I want to live healthier in the future but that doesn't guaranty that I will be a skinny person.

Anyways - on to the "OOTD - Outfit Of The Day"

Peach color Jacket - ASOS size UK 22
T-Shirt Leopard print - Evans size UK 22/24
Blue jeans - Evans size UK 22
Sneakers - Graceland size UK 7
Ring - my favorite as always
Silver watch - Pieces/Vera Moda
Gold Swallow Necklace - Vera Moda

I wore some blush from Sleek named "golden rose"
Black mascara from The Body Shop
And the red nail polish is from Kleancolor and
named "red alert no. 81"

I wore this outfit to go shopping with my boyfriend. We went looking for a new couch but didn't find one we liked. So I dragged my boyfriend to go shopping for new nail polish. My new obsession is Kleancolor nail polish. I love that it's cheap but good quality, the brush applicator is amazing! And the color variation is to die for. I also had a gift certificate too a jewelry store so I went in to buy a watch :) I feel in love with the lime green one, the brand is "Mango". I already have the watch in purple and white. They are so cute that I want one in every color!

Sorry for the extreme long blog post today. I had a lot to get of my shoulders and I promise I will be a better blogger from now on. I am going to a birthday party tonight and I will have another outfit post ready for you tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone!

Love Karina.

P.S.
I am also going to get a tattoo next week. So check back for the pictures from my first tattoo!
I am so existed!

OOTD - ASOS floral dress

What I wore :
ASOS floral dress - size UK24
on sale @ ASOS for 19£
Black cardigan - size XL from Vera Moda - old collection
Black ballerinas - size EU40 from Graceland

I really like this dress, it's light in material and come down to right above my knees. I would prob. go a dress size down. I originally ordered it in a UK size 26 since I normally use a size 24 and was told everywhere to size up when buying ASOS Curve. So I sent it back and ordered a smaller size. I could easily have gone a dress size more down. But I don't mind that it has a bit loose fit for the summer. Nothing wears than a tight piece of clothing sticking onto your skin when your melting!

I wore this dress with a cardigan since we keep having rain after rain here in the Faroe Islands. Can't wait for summer weather to get here. On another note! ASOS are having a super huge sale and there are a lot of cute summer clothing on sale. And the best part? They offer free international shipping! *YEAH*

Sunday OOTD

Not much to report from the Faroe Islands. I've been doing some online shopping so I have some items to show you in the up coming weeks. Today I have a simple OOTD to show you. Remember If the pictures are a bit small you can click on them and they become bigger. Hope you all have a great sunday!

Karina

What I wore :

Gray/white/black scarf - thrifted
Leopard clutch - H&M
Pale pink tunica - H&M BiB size EU50
White tank top - H&M size XL
Blue Jeggings - H&M BiB size EU50
black ballerinas - Graceland size EU 41

I bought the jeggings, the tunica and the clutch 14 days ago and everything is
already sold out online! I was going to be better at showing you readers where
to get the items I am wearing. But this time it's a fail!

1st. picture - close up of my ballerinas
2nd picture - I had a hairband with a bow in my hair
3rd picture - I wanted summer nails so I went with a neon green
over a silver base, they become metallic green. I love this color
reminds me of the cars from the fast and the furious.
